A Joint Statement By Candidates Running for Cache County Executive

As candidates for Cache County Executive, we stand together in unity and in prayer as we mourn the recent tragic events—the cowardly and evil act of violence at Evergreen High School in Colorado and the shooting at Utah Valley University yesterday.

We are united in condemning these senseless acts. Violence is never the way to address differences, and it has no place in our communities, our schools, or our nation.

Our hearts and prayers are with the Kirk family and with all the families and communities impacted by these heartbreaking tragedies. We stand shoulder to shoulder in offering them our support, compassion, and strength during this difficult time.

Though we may be opponents in an election, we are united in our belief that the safety, peace, and well-being of our communities must always come first. We also pray that these tragedies remind us all of the need to return to mutual respect, a love of God, and a love of country that bind us together as Americans and as neighbors.
